BEACH VOLLEYBALL
High Performance Program;
The TTVF is currently looking for an International Expert for Beach Volleyball to assist in the Development of our Beach Volleyball players for the Caribbean Games 2009.
Professional Beach Tour:
We have already formed the core of our Beach Volleyball Commission. They are focused on promoting Beach Volleyball events for profit. Volleyball must become sustainable; we are going to start with Beach Volleyball events. The Commission will operate as a promoter separate but supported by the TTVF. This will be a new brand replacing “Spikedown.”

Equipment:
We plan to invest in a volleyball analytical program “Data Volley” that would help us better scout opponents and quickly analyze our players. This will also now add another dimension to our national teams staff – “Statistician & Video specialist.” We need to improve our national teams with state-of-the-art training aids for example, Ball, Blocking & Jumping machine. It is our intention to provide volleyball equipment at very reasonable cost to the entire fraternity.
Look out for the launch of the “Volleyball Store.”
Marketing:
We have to develop our marketing capabilities and faster good relations with Sponsors. Marketing for us is not only about raising funds through sponsorship but benefiting from economies of scale and selling rights and title to events. The target for marketing in 2008 is $675000.00. Marketing is heavily dependant on our public relation and image hence both need to be develop together.
Public Relation
Image:
Launch a TTVF slogan competition among our schools and to bombard the news with Volleyball. Also read in newspapers, see children in school yards, national team on the news and hear it on radio. We want to highlight individuals and their performance in our pursuit and involvement to lift Volleyball to a well renowned sport in our country.
Media:
We want to send the media on tours with our national team from time to time. Create a promotional plan for CVC 2008. Appointing a press officer for all our events. Media personnel for hire to write stories for us.
Branding:
All major events will have an identifiable logo. We will continue to brand our events and promote TTVF Logo for example, flyers and banners etc.
Website:
Our major tool for investment and continuous advertisement. New chat room will be tested at the Olympic Qualification Tournaments where the managers are required to log on at a specific time each day to give local fans the latest on the Tournament and even ask questions or take in ball by ball action.
Medical Services:
Endorse services of STAR. We intend to expand our usage of this company to properly treat and rehabilitate our athletes. We also see that this group of professional being important in assisting us in the scientific approach to our development of the national athletes. We intend to expand the medical services to cover injuries to players within TTVF events.
Coaching Courses:
We intend to send coaches to courses to upgrade themselves. We would be hosting an FIVB Beach Volleyball coaching course in 2008.
Officials:
Mr. Brian Charles will be representing the Caribbean at NORCECA as the referee’s coordinator for the region.
Mr. Winston Samuel has received acknowledgement of his completion of his candidate status and is awaiting his International Referees Badge in 2008.
There will be an International beach volleyball referees course.
We will be hosting local refereeing and volleyball information system courses.
Financial:
We will be launching in this month to online payment system.
Performance indicators will be introduced as to determine whether we are getting value for monies spent.
Conclusion:
This plan will take us up to the next annual general meeting. Tobago development will also be pursued in 2008 by asking a member of their fraternity to sit on the executive team as a board member. We are also intending to place a major event in Tobago in 2008.
Additionally, this administration will well be into planning of the Caribbean Games 2006.
